Scheduling Tours:

School tours must be scheduled in advance and are available at 9:30 a.m. or 12:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Capacity and Experience:

School Groups may bring a maximum of 120 students during their requested time slot. Please refer to the Group Experience Options table for information on staffing and resources available for each group size. Full experience offerings are limited to groups of up to 60 students. Groups of more than 120 students will need to schedule multiple visit times or dates.

Admissions:

The admission rate for visiting school groups is $8.00 per student. The museum requires 1 chaperone per 10 visiting students. Required chaperones and bus drivers receive complimentary admission. All additional adults exceeding the required ratio receive the discounted group rate of $10 per additional adult.

Final headcounts and changes to the reservation must be made at least 7 days prior to the scheduled visit. No adjustments will be made for any absentees on the day of the visit. All rates are subject to applicable taxes.

Add-On Programs:

Fall 2025 Programming – Mission Marshal
(Available August–December 2025)

Students take on challenges inspired by real U.S. Marshal duties, building critical thinking and teamwork skills along the way. The program is tailored for different age groups: Elementary, Middle, and High School.

  • 1-hour classroom program
  • Maximum 30 students per session, with up to 2 sessions per visit

AR Standards addressed:

  • C.1 Students will understand the impact of origins, structures, and functions of institutions and laws on society and citizens. This includes personal civic rights, roles, responsibilities, and processes by which laws are made and amended.
  • C.3 Students will understand the role of citizens in society, the ways the government protects the rights of citizens, the electoral process, and the role of political parties.

 

Spring 2026 Programming – 250 Years in Action: Building a Nation, Upholding the Law
(Available January–May 2026)

This program connects students to the foundational principles of the U.S. Constitution and the role of U.S. Marshals in upholding the law across 250 years. Through grade-specific activities, such as role-playing, hands-on challenges, and team exercises, students will

explore how a government is formed and maintained through civic responsibility and law enforcement. The program is tailored for different age groups: Elementary, Middle, and High School.

  • 1-hour classroom program
  • Maximum 30 students per session, with up to 2 sessions per visit

Special Programming:

Constitution and Arkansas Freedom Week
(Available September 15–26, 2025)

Two Ballots Program Students will explore the history of voting rights and examine how access to information can influence decision-making. Through a two-part ballot simulation and guided discussion, participants will gain valuable insight into the importance of informed civic engagement. The program is tailored for different age groups: Elementary, Middle, and High School.

  • 30-minute classroom program
  • Available time slots: 9:00 AM, 10:30 AM, 12:00 PM
  • Maximum 60 students per time slot
  • Excellent field activity for Constitution Day and A.C.A. § 6-16-101. Celebrate Freedom Week

 

Field Trip Schedule:

Student gallery visits typically take 90 minutes to complete.
Additional school visit request:

  • Guided tour – 30 minutes, A museum program team member will take students on a guided tour of the experience area. The tours provide an overview of the permanent exhibit spaces and the interactive experiences. After the overview tour, school groups will have access to visit and explore the experience in their small groups. (60 students maximum)
  • Classroom program (August-May only) – $100 per session, 1 hour. Students will extend their visit experience through a menu-selected program offering. A museum program team member will lead the program. (30 students maximum per program, two sessions maximum per visit)
  • Outdoor lunch space – 30 minutes, picnic on the lawn reservation. (120 students maximum) *Please note: Students will be sitting on the lawn. No tables or chairs will be provided.
